Carro Armata M11/39 Medium Tank
The M11/39 was produced by Fiat-Ansalso prior to WWII and entered service in 1939. Its service was cut short due to a number of weaknesses. The most significant was the mounting of the main 37mm gun on the hull allowing only a 15 degree traverse. The dual 8mm machine guns were operated by a single man in the cramped turret.
M11/39 served in North Africa and East Africa as well as in Italy as late as 1944. It had a crew of 3.
