Indian Pattern Carrier
The Armoured Carrier, Wheeled, Indian Pattern (ACV-IP), better known as the Indian Pattern Carrier, was an armoured car produced by India during WWII. India produced 4,655 between 1940 and 1944.
They were armed with a Bren light machine gun and a Boyes anti-tank rifle and typically carried a crew of 4 with a No.19 radio set.
The Indian Pattern Carrier was used by Indian reconnaissance units. They were also used as personnel carriers, forward observation vehicles or mobile AA platforms.
