Pz Kpfw II Ausf J (VK16.01)
The Pz Kpfw II Ausf G (VK9.01) was developed as a reconnaissance tank and featured five overlapping road wheels. Only 12 vehicles were produced. The Ausf J continued the development of the concept by adding heavier armour - up to 80mm - equal to the frontal armour on the Russian KV-1.
The Pz Kpfw II Ausf J was armed with a 2cm KwK 38 L/55 gun. Only twenty two were produced by MAN between April and December 1942.
