Leopard 2A7V Main Battle Tank
The Leopard 2 was developed by Germany in the early 1970s. It was armed with a 120mm Rheinmetall L/44 smoothbore gun which was later replaced with the L/55 and two 7.62mm MG3A1 machine guns.
The 2A7V has improved cameras in poor visibility, a hardened gun barrel giving the 2A7V an effective range of 5,000m, improved communications, additional frontal protection and a more powerful drive train and drive system to handle the additional weight.
