Leopard 2A7+ Main Battle Tank
The Leopard 2 was developed by Germany in the early 1970s. It was armed with a 120mm Rheinmetall L/44 smoothbore gun which was later replaced with the L/55 and two 7.62mm MG3A1 machine guns.
A number of improvements have been made to the Leopard 2. The A7+ has been designed for urban conflict with the addition of frontal modular armour and 360 degree protection against RPGs and mine protection. The turret mounted MG3 has been replaced with a FLW 200 remotely controlled weapons station.
