M60A1 with ERA & M60A3 Main Battle Tank
The M60A1 was produced from October 1962 with a modified turret and increased armour. In addition, the engine was upgraded. The M60A1 RISE was a further comprehensive upgrade including the AVDS-1790-2C RISE diesel engine as well as armoured steel TLAC panels. The Passive, (P), upgrade included Kevlar liners for the turret and the capability to fit ERA, Explosive Reactive Armour.
