The Sd Kfz 251/1 II Schützenpanzerwagen mit Wurfrahmen 40 (Launch Frame 40), mounted six, side mounted, frames each equipped with 28cm high explosive or 32cm incendiary rockets. The baseplates were adjustable for elevation. The rockets were ripple fired whenever possible to maximise the impact on the target. While the rockets were spin stabilised they were not as accurate as artillery and given their weight took time to reload.
