The T-26 light tank was the Soviet version of the Vickers 6-ton tank. The final model T-26 (in this kit) had a 45 mm gun and a 7.62mm MG although there were many other conversions. First seeing action in the Spanish Civil War, the T-26 then continued in the "Winter War" against Finland in 1939-1940. Few survived the first years of the war in 1941 although at the time over 3,400 vehicles were in service plus 126 units with flame throwers. T-26 were production in Stalingrad and Leningrad
