Pz Kpfw II (Late Production)

The second of the Panzers, the Pz Kpfw II was designed in the early 1930s. However, it saw extensive service at the outbreak of WW2 during the Blitzkrieg as well as being a much converted chassis mainly for the production of self propelled guns up to 1944. The later production Pz Kpfw II had a flat front hull extending the width of the vehicle rather than the earlier designed rounded hull. In addition, the thickness of armour was increased on the turret front plate and gun mantlet.
