A welcome new tooling from Airfix of the British Cromwell Mk IV Cruiser Tank introduced before D-Day and used during the NW European campaign in 1944-1945. The Cromwell was issued to armoured divisions in readiness for the invasion of Europe. While the Sherman remained the workhorse of the British armoured division, the Cromwells were fast and mobile and used largely in a reconassaince role. From Normandy to the plains of Germany, the Cromwell fought its way through the last year of WWII.
