BT-2 with Machine Gun

The BT tanks were lightly armoured but produced in large numbers to provide support for the infantry. The Christie suspension chassis was imported from the USA in 1931 and this design was to continue through later BT variants. Weighing in at only 11.5 tons the BT-2 was a fast tank with a max speed of 52kph BT-2s were armed with a DA-2 setting of twin 7.62mm DT machine guns and crewed by three men. They fought in Finland, Poland an in the defence of Moscow during WWII.
