Armoured Train Type OB-3, No 1 Of The 23D Battalion

The Russians built many armoured trains in railway depots and car repair factories often incorporating spare parts or recycled damaged tank parts into the designs. This Armoured Train, No1 of the 23rd Battalion was built between December 1941 and January 1942 and consisted of two double turret armoured carriages on 20 ton platforms and an armoured locomotive type Ov in the middle.
