M48 Patton Tank

The first M48's were completed in July 1952 as a response to the American's having no suitable medium tanks at the start of the Korean War. The speed of development lead to some teething troubles which were sorted with the highly modified A3. Initially armed with a 90mm gun and crewed by 4 men, the M48 served with distinction in Vietnam and India as well as in the Middle East for the Israelis.
