French Renault FT-17 TSF Command Tank

By 1939 the French still had 1,600 FT-17s in their army and these saw service again in the defence of France in 1940 against the German Blitzkreig tactics. Mostly were re-used by the Germans for internal security duties. The TSF Telegraph sans fil or wireless was a radio vehicle, sometimes known as Char Signal. The tank had a radio for sending morse code, no armament and a three man crew. Of the 300 ordered, 188 were produced.
