Rheintochter-1 Missile Launching Position

The Rheintochter-1 was developed from 1942 by Rheinmetall-Borsig as a surface-to-air missile. It carried a 300lb (136kg) warhead and was a multi stage solid fuel rocket. The Rheintochter-1 had four control surfaces in the nose, six at the end of the top stage and four at the end of the main stage. It could also be fired from both a ramp or a converted gun mount or a similar mobile platform. The Rheintochter programme was cancelled on 6th February 1945 with the missile never deployed in combat
