F-55 Feuerlilie AA Missile and Launch Ramp

The F-55 "Fire Lily" was designed in 1940 although development was cancelled by 1945 in favour of other projects. The F-55 had a diameter of 55cm, was 4.8m in length and was powered by Rheinmetall 109-505/515 solid rockets. It was a 2-stage supersonic missile that was launched from its own launch ramp although later versions were launched from a modified 88mm AA gun. However, problems with the controller and drive sections meant that it never entered active service.
