British 27th Armoured Brigade

The 27th Armoured Brigade was formed in 1940 and was attached to 9th Armoured Divison. After experimenting with specialist armour it was transferred to 79th Armoured Division before becoming independent prior to D-Day. The 27th Armoured Brigade's DD tanks played an important role in D-Day and the subsequent Battle for Normandy. Decal sheet includes 84 British 27th Armoured Brigade signs of a yellow sea horse on a blue shield. Symbols measure approx 3mm high.
