The Hugarian 40/43M Zrinyi II was based on the chassis of the 40M Turan I. It was designed in two variants - the 40M (Zrinyi I) was armed with a long 75mm KwK 40 L/43 gun and the 40/43M (Zrinyi II) was armed with a 40M 105mm L/20 howitzer. The former was designed as an anti tank weapon but only one prototype was built and the latter was produced as an infantry support weapon. The Zrinyi II was produced between August 1943 and July 1944.
