ZIS-22M Half Track

The ZIS-5 was the double axle version of the triple axle Soviet ZIS-6 truck. Aside from cargo carrying, the ZIS-5 was also used as a light artillery tractor, a personnel carrier with a 25 troop capacity as well as other specialist trucks such as fuel trucks, field workshops, ambulances, a platform for guns and a half track. The ZIS-22 was produced between 1940 and 1941 and was based on the ZIS-5 chassis. The ZIS-22M was a prototype improvement on the ZIS-22 built in 1941.
