Vauxhall D-Type Ambulance

The Vauxhall D-Type was produced between 1912 and 1922 with more than 1,500 being supplied to the British Army during WWI as staff cars. Prior to WWI Vauxhall, who had been better known for sports cars, had produced the C2-Type which was known as the "Prince Henry". This was modified for military use by simplifying the design and providing a less powerful engine. This redesign became known as the D-Type.
