BMD-2 Airborne Infantry Fighting Vehicle (2 kits per box)

The BMD-2 is an amphibious tracked infantry fighting vehicle which appears similar to the much larger BMP-1. The BMD-2 appeared in 1985 and features improvements over the earlier BMD-1 including a new B-30 turret and some changes to the hull. Following experience in Afghanistan, there was a need for the BMD to be able to engage softer targets such as personnel, unarmoured vehicles and lightly fortified positions. It is armed with a 30mm 2A42 multi purpose cannon with 180 AP rounds and 120 HE.
