20mm Polsten Gun on Airborne Mount

Officially designated the "Mounting, Airborne 20mm Gun No. 2 Mark 2 Land Service", this was a special Airborne mount designed for British 6th Airborne Division to carry the Polish 20mm Polsten gun. The airborne mount provided a wheeled mounting that could be towed by a jeep. The Polish design was quicker and cheaper to produce than the Oerlikon on which it was based with only 119 parts instead of 250 and production costs of around one fifth. It entered service in 1944.
