BDT Heavy Armoured Railcar

The BDT Heavy Armoured Railcar was developed in 1934 with a welded hull of 8-16mm armour bolted to the chassis. Crewed by 9 men, it was armed with a 45mm gun and a coaxial 7.62mm DT machine gun in a T-26 turret. In addition there were three further on board Maxim machine guns as well as another 7.62mm DT machine gun mounted on the hull rear. Around 10 were built which were used as armoured reconnaissance cars within armoured train battalions
