Sd Kfz 135 Munitionstransportkraftwagen

After the fall of France in 1940, the German's made us of most of the captured equipment they had inherited - of 387 Lorraine chassis produced the Germans had more than 300 in stock. The Lorraine 37L chassis was converted in 1942 to carry the 7.5cm Pak40 and the 10.5cm leFH18 guns with the remainder being used as ammunition carriers, artillery tractors and ambulances. In German service they were designated Sd Kfz 135. In early 1944 there were 131 in service on the Western Front.
