The 3.7cm Flak43 was developed by Krupp to replace the earlier 3.7cm Flak 18. Production time was significantly reduced by using stampings, welding and simplified components. The gas operated breech allowed a rate of fire of 250 rounds per minute with a reduced witght of only 1,247kg, 30% lighter than the Flak18. This gun was used as the armament of the Ostwind mobile anti aircraft tank as well as being mounted on the sWS - schwerer Wehrmacht Schlepper (See my other MACO items for sale).
