HMS Hood

HMS Hood was the pride of the Royal Navy until she was sunk by the German battleship Bismark at the Battle of the Denmark Strait on 24th May 1941. During a short and brutal encounter, the Hood was hit by the Bismark's 5th salvo. This lead to a huge jet of flame followed by a devastating explosion which ripped the Hood apart. She sank within 3 minutes with only 3 survivors out of a crew of 1,418.
