LG3000 Heavy Truck

The LG3000 was developed by Mercedes Benz in the mid 1930s as an off-road three axle (6x4) truck. The LG3000 was fitted with a six cylinder diesel engine and was supplied mainly to Luftwaffe and Pioneer troops. It first saw service during the Spanish Civil war and continued in service throughout WWII. As with other German trucks, the chassis was used for a number of variants including Radio Trucks, Fuel Tankers, Photography trucks, Mobile Meteorological stations, Airport Searchlight Trucks.
