25mm Hotchkiss AA Gun

The Hotchkiss 25mm Anti Aircraft gun served during WWII with French and Japanese forces. Design began after WWI for an autocannon anti aircraft gun. The Hotchkiss was rejected as firing too slowly and was proposed for export. By 1938 the prefered Schnieder 37mm autocannon was still not ready and the Hotchkiss design was resurected for domestic use. The original tripod was unstable so the gun was supplied with a triangular base and a two wheel carriage.
