88mm Pak43/41 Anti Tank Gun 'Barn Door'

The Pak 43 (Panzerabwehrkanone 43) was developed by Krupp in competition with Rheinmetall's 8.8cm Flak 41. However its manufacture was slow and costly. This lead to the Krupp being asked to develop a weapon with the Pak41 barrel based on the Flak 41 which was subsequently designated the Pak 43/41. The 88mm Pak43/41 had a split trail carriage taken from the 10.5cm leFH18 Howitzer with wheels from the 15cm sFH Howitzer.
